Abla

Description

Our Abla recycled glass beads are made by crushing old glass (from old bottles, windows, etc) in powder, which is then heated and poured int clay moulds. A leaf stem (cassava) is used s a hole. As the beads are oven backed, the glass fuses and the stem burn away.
The bead making technique has been used in Africa for centuries. These beautiful glass beads are all hand made in Ghana, measuring approximately: 22-26 mm by 6-8 mm and Thread Hole: 3-4 mm

Please be aware that all these beads are individually handmade and therefore no two beads are exactly the same.
