Agba Mix Beads

Description

Our recycled glass beads are made in Ghana by the Krobo tribe using a unique glass making technique that have been used for centuries. This ancient way of making these glass beads creates beautiful cloudy natural handmade effect that resembles ocean bottles washed up on shore. The Krobo tribes's process is grinding up found vintage glass bottles into a powder and pouring into clay casting for baking.

Measuring approximately: 18-20 mm by 9-10 mm with a 2-3 mm hole

These colourful beads with hand applied designs are twice fired in order to set the design. They will make a great statement bead as well as looking wonderful mixed with other beads.
Please be aware that all these beads are individually handmade and therefore no two beads are exactly the same.

Our business is rooted in our love of hand craftsmanship, history, and authenticity. We work carefully to source items that are uniquely hand-made as well as hard to find vintage items from remote areas in Africa. Sourced from materials (such as recycled glass and metal) that use low impact, sustainable and ethical processes, we employ artisans and craftspeople in a place rich with bead making history.
