Ama cylinder Beads

African recycled glass tube beads, hand-made from Recycled Glass in Agormenya village in Ghana - West Africa. Local artisans make the beads by using traditional techniques and simple tools.

These beads are made by first grinding glass. The chips are put in moulds, colours added and finally placed in hot kilns.
Please know that because these beads are handmade and hand painted individually, no two look exactly the same.

They measure approx 28 - 30 mm long, 8-10 mm wide with 3-3.5 mm hole.

These beads were purchased at fair prices directly from local artisans producing beads here in Ghana. Our aim is to distribute worldwide at reasonable prices directly from source. Creating awareness of West African arts and crafts and helping to support local artisans.
